Just Landlords Landlord Hero Competition Winners

By |Published On: 29th May 2018|

Our Landlord Hero competition came to a close at the end of April, and we are now pleased to announce our winners!

The aim of the competition was to encourage discussion about positive experiences with renting, in a way to counteract the negative stories. We believe that there are great landlords and letting agents out there and it can be beneficial for all involved to hear about them.

The competition began on 1st April, inviting tenants across the UK to let us know over social media why their landlord or letting agent deserved to be nominated our Landlord Hero of 2018.

We received many lovely tweets singing their praises, and choosing our winners was no easy task.

With much thought and consideration, we decided to award 1st prize to twitter user Clarebear, who shared a story about how understanding their landlord has been.

When asked how she felt about being chosen as the winner for our Landlord Hero competition, she replied: “I’m stunned to have won and can’t wait to pick some perfect gifts for friends and family and perhaps some books for me.”

The 1st prize was a £250 Amazon voucher, not only for the winner, but for their letting agent as well, so well done to Dave, from Homerent Letting Services!

Our 2nd place winner was Victoria, who also had a good pet-related experience with her landlord. It sounds like they did a great job at looking after their tenants.

Victoria won the 2nd prize of a £100 Amazon voucher. She told us: “It feels really good to win, as my landlord is a really nice guy and we know we are very lucky.”

When asked what she will spend her prize on, she replied: “I will hopefully treat every one. My husband wants some new running socks, kids a new paddling pool and the dog some treats!”

This sounds like a great way to prepare for the summer!

3rd prize went to Felina, who let us know about the kind-heartedness of her landlord:

We asked her what she thought about the idea of holding such competitions to spread a more positive word about landlords and letting agents, and she replied: “I think these comps are good because good landlords don’t get enough recognition!”

All of us at Just Landlords would like to say congratulations once again to the winners, and thank you for taking part. We’ve had a lot of fun reading through all the lovely entries, and look forward to holding similar competitions in the future.

If you have any great stories to share about your landlord or letting agent, we are always happy to hear them. Leave a comment below, or share them with us on social media!
